Ford Australia is expanding its Ranger Super Duty lineup for the MY26.5 model year, introducing a pick-up body style and a new XLT series. This move aims to broaden the appeal of the Ranger Super Duty, catering to both work and recreational needs. The new models are slated to arrive in mid-2026.
The Ranger Super Duty was originally conceived to meet customer demands for greater capability, and the response has been strong, according to Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia. The addition of the Pick-Up and XLT trims is designed to enhance the vehicle’s versatility for Australian drivers.
Ranger Super Duty Pick-Up:
For the first time, the Ranger Super Duty will be available as a pick-up, combining heavy-duty capability with a factory-fitted tub. This makes it suitable for both retail customers and fleet operators.
Key features of the Pick-Up variant include:
- Class-leading 4500kg towing capacity
- 4500kg GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass)
- 8000kg GCM (Gross Combined Mass)
- Widened track width of 1710mm
- 850mm wading depth
According to Ambrose Henderson, Marketing Director, Ford Australia, this version bridges the gap between a workhorse and a touring vehicle.
Ranger Super Duty XLT:
The XLT series, available on Double Cab Cab-Chassis and Double Cab Pick-Up variants, targets customers seeking durability and comfort. It includes premium features such as:
- Steel bull bar
- Towing accessories
A new exterior color, Traction Green, will be available as an optional Prestige Paint choice across all variants.

Order books for the MY26.5 Ranger Super Duty are now open, with vehicles expected to arrive in Australia in mid-2026. Pricing for the new additions is as follows:
- Ranger Super Duty Double Cab Cab-Chassis XLT: $72,390
- Ranger Super Duty Double Cab Pick-Up: $73,890
- Ranger Super Duty Double Cab Pick-Up XLT: $75,390
Existing Ranger Super Duty Single Cab Cab-Chassis, Super Cab Cab-Chassis, and Double Cab Cab-Chassis pricing remains unchanged.
