Isuzu UTE Drives Support for Women's Charity with 'Dignity D-MAX'

Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) is teaming up with Share the Dignity, a national charity dedicated to providing essential hygiene items to vulnerable women. The partnership will see IUA provide the organization with a brand-new, attention-grabbing pink-wrapped Isuzu D-MAX X-TERRAIN, dubbed the ‘Dignity D-MAX.’ This ute will serve as both a transport vehicle and a symbol of the collaboration, appearing at national campaigns, community events, and media engagements.

Share the Dignity began in 2015 when founder Rochelle Courtenay learned that many vulnerable women lacked access to essential hygiene products. Starting with a local collection in Brisbane, Courtenay’s initiative has grown into a nationwide charity with over 3,500 volunteers, coordinating with major retailers to distribute millions of items to those in need.

According to IUA Managing Director, Mr. Junta Matsui, the company is excited to support Share the Dignity’s mission of restoring self-respect to vulnerable Australians. IUA will also participate in the charity’s major annual campaigns:

  • Dignity Drive (March & August): Australians are encouraged to donate period products at Woolworths stores, which are then distributed to women and girls experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, or poverty.
  • It’s in the Bag (November): Handbags filled with essential items like period products, toiletries, and a thoughtful note are donated at Bunnings stores for women in need during the Christmas season.

Courtenay emphasized that Isuzu UTE’s support will ensure the charity can consistently provide assistance to women and girls who need it, stating, "Isuzu UTE’s support will help us to make sure we never miss an opportunity to be there for those girls and women who need our assistance.”

This partnership follows Isuzu UTE Australia’s recent celebration of delivering its 400,000th vehicle in Australia, signaling continued growth and community engagement for the brand. It also complements their ongoing support for other community initiatives, such as their partnership with A-Leagues football.
